This year, the third day of the event (Thursday, 21 May) will see a significant upgrade, serving as the “Theme Day Municipalities”. On this day, attendance at ANGA COM, including the entire conference programme, is completely free of charge. The day opens with the Municipalities Summit “Financing, Cooperation and Resilience”, followed by strategy panels on “Municipalities and Utilities: Pre-Marketing and Homes Connected in Fiber Networks” (in cooperation with Federal Gigabit Bureau) and “Digital Sovereignty and Data Centers: Opportunities for Municipalities”. This highly practical programme is rounded off by expert presentations on the current status of gigabit funding, as well as the specific risks for municipalities and regional carriers arising from changes in the regulation and the Digital Networks Act.
The up-to-date status of the strategy programme is available here on the website, the speaker list can be found here.
The programme section “Technology & Practice” is as international as it is practical. The topics addressed include fiber optics, inhouse networks, open access, resilience, HFC networks, data centers, cyber security, WiFi, artificial intelligence and sustainability. This programme section (as well as the strategy programme) will take place partly on the Innovation Stage, an open presentation stage directly in the exhibition hall. All exhibition visitors have free access to the programme on this stage. The programme section “Technology & Practice” is published here; the Innovation Stage programme can be viewed separately here.
Making its debut this year is a particularly practical and interactive conference feature: For the first time, approximately 30 Round Table discussions will be held. These sessions will center on controversial theses presented by their respective table captains on telecommunications and media topics, facilitating an in-depth exchange in small groups on specialized subjects. The Round Table programme will be released in April.
Dr. Peter Charissé, CEO ANGA COM: “With even more CEOs from market leaders and increased practical relevance, we have once again expanded our conference offering across all areas this year. This applies equally to both broadband and media topics. I am particularly looking forward to the close cooperation with numerous partner associations from both industries and, of course, to the premiere of Federal Minister Wildberger.”
