Countdown to the Broadband and Media Summit – Only one Week to Go until ANGA COM 2018

Cologne/Germany, 5 June 2018 | In exactly one week’s time, ANGA COM will start with an exhibitor record of for the first time 500 companies from 37 countries. This represents a growth rate of 10 percent. The conference agenda has been completely new structured and extended to 34 expert panels with more than 170 speakers for 2018. ANGA COM will take place in Cologne/Germany from 12 to 14 June 2018.

Highlight of the first conference day is the International CTO Panel with Arris, Com Hem, Liberty Global, TDC Group, Tele Columbus and Vodafone Deutschland. On the second day, Dr. Dirk Wössner (Deutsche Telekom), Dr. Manuel Cubero (Vodafone), Lutz Schüler (Unitymedia), Conrad Albert (ProSiebenSat.1 Media) and Carsten Schmidt (Sky) will join a summit discussion on current developments in the broadband and media markets.

16 international panels will focus on DOCSIS 3.1, FTTH, WiFi, OTT, HFC Networks, Cloud Services, Multiscreen, Copyright Law, Big Data and TV Strategies in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Amongst the highlights of the first conference day is the strategy panel “TV vs. Streaming – New Content? New Cooperations?” with Oliver Berben (Constantin Film), Dr. Manuel Cubero (Vodafone), Wolfgang Elsäßer (Telekom Deutschland), Frank Hoffmann (RTL Television) and Dr. Christoph Schneider (Amazon Prime Video). 

On the third day, Thursday, 14 June 2018, ANGA COM, the Broadband Office of the German Federation and the Association of Telecommunications and Value-Added Service Providers (VATM) will organize a joint “Broadband Day – Gigabit now!”. The conference panels will address political, practical, regulatory and technical topics of the broadband roll-out. The Broadband Day offers free access for all visitors upon prior online registration.

Dr. Peter Charissé, Managing Director of ANGA COM: “With an exhibitor increase of 10 percent, ANGA COM will present itself at its best. All important vendors for broadband technology and content distribution will be present.  Not only we have extended the conference agenda, but also once again improved the business and networking convenience. This includes additional working space and the open air plaza with food trucks.”

It enables all visitors and conference attendees to plan their visit most efficiently. 

The visitor registration for exhibition and conference is available online at www.angacom.de. An admission ticket to the exhibition costs 22 Euros for three days upon prior online registration (ticket office on-site: 35 Euros), conference season tickets start at 100 Euros. On 14 June 2018, the Broadband Day, exhibition and conference are completely free of charge upon prior online registration.
