ANGA COM 2019 releases Conference Programme: Expanded Agenda with four Summit Discussions

Cologne/Germany, 28 March 2019 | Today, ANGA COM 2019 has released its conference agenda with a total of 36 expert panels. Highlights will be for the first time four summit discussions: The International Content Summit, the International CTO Summit, the German Broadband Summit and the German Media Summit. The Exhibition and Conference for Broadband, Television & Online will take place in Cologne/Germany from 4 to 6 June 2019

Highlights of the international programme, which consists of a total of 18 English-speaking panels, are the International Content Summit and the International CTO Summit on the first day of the event. Speakers at the International Content Summit “Content Strategies for Broadband Networks, Satellite and OTT” are: Thomas Christensen (CEO, Nordija), Jeroen Ghijsen (Founder & CEO, Metrological), Marc Antoine d’Halluin (Chairman of the Board, M7 Group), Philippe Oliva (Executive Vice President of Sales and Products, Eutelsat), Jean-Marc Racine (Chief Product Officer and General Manager of EMEAR, Synamedia), Wilfried Urner (CEO, HD PLUS) and Christoph Vilanek (CEO, freenet). For the International CTO Summit have confirmed: Colin Buechner (Managing Director Access Network, Liberty Global), Michael Fränkle (Senior Vice President Networks & CTO, TDC Group), Elmar Grasser (CTO, Sunrise Communications), Thomas Helbo (EVP, Fixed Technology, Tele2), Gerhard Mack (CTO, Vodafone Deutschland), Steve McCaffery (President International, ARRIS Group) and Axel Sihn (Managing Partner & CEO, WISI).

The German Media Summit will take place on Wednesday, 5 June 2019, and will discuss the topic “Streaming as a Game Changer for Film and Television”. Confirmed participants are: Conrad Albert (Deputy CEO / Group General Counsel, ProSiebenSat.1 Media), Dr. Thomas Bellut (Chairman, ZDF), Dr. Manuel Cubero (Chief Commercial Officer, Vodafone Deutschland), Matthias Dang (Managing Director Marketing, Technology & Data, Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland), Kathleen Finch (Chief Lifestyle Brands Officer, Discovery), Dr. Christian Franckenstein (CEO, Bavaria Film) and Dr. Christoph Schneider (Managing Director, Amazon Prime Video Germany). The moderator will be Thomas Lückerath (DWDL.de).

The German Broadband Summit with the title “Fiber Roll-Out on the Test Bench” will also take place on Wednesday, 5 June 2019. Confirmed have: Timm Degenhardt (CEO, Tele Columbus), Timo von Lepel (Managing Director, NetCologne), Uwe Nickl (Managing Director, Deutsche Glasfaser), Winni Rapp (CEO, Unitymedia), Norbert Westfal (Spokesperson of the Management Board, EWE TEL / EWE Vertrieb) and Dr. Dirk Wössner (Member of the Management Board for Germany, Deutsche Telekom). The moderator will be Ina Karabasz (Handelsblatt).

A total of 13 technology panels in English will address the following topics: DOCSIS 3.1, 10 Gigabit, 5G, FTTH, WiFi, Cyber Security & Safety, Cloud Services, Network Virtualization and HFC Infrastructures.

On the third day of the event, Wednesday, 6 June 2019, ANGA COM, the Federal Broadband Bureau and the VATM Association will organize a joint Broadband Day for the second time. After the successful premiere in 2018, the topic Smart City will be in focus this year. The Broadband Day offers free access for all visitors upon prior online registration. The Opening Discussion „Smart City and 5G“ will join: Dr. Christoph Clément (Member of the Management Board, Vodafone Deutschland), Wolfgang Kopf (Head of Central Division Policy and Regulatory Affairs, Deutsche Telekom), Timo von Lepel (Managing Director, NetCologne), Dr. Tobias Miethaner (Head of the Digital Society Directorate-General at the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure), Bernd Thielk (Managing Director, willy.tel) and Martin Witt (Management Board, 1&1 Drillisch / Chairman of the Board, 1&1 Telecommunication).

The visitor registration for exhibition and conference is available online at www.angacom.de. An admission ticket to the exhibition costs 22 Euros for three days upon prior online registration (ticket office on-site: 35 Euros), conference season tickets start at 100 Euros. On 6 June 2019, the Broadband Day, exhibition and conference are completely free of charge upon prior online registration.
